Itinerary
- Day 1: Pick up in San Jose or Arenal. Rafting Pacuare River. Drop off in Puerto Viejo.
- Day 2: Day in Puerto Viejo. Optional activities available.
- Day 3: Transfer from Puerto Viejo drive and boat into Bocas del Toro.
- Day 4: Day in Bocas del Toro. Tour of Dolphin Bay, Coral Key and Zapatilla Key.
- Day 5: Boat out of Bocas and drive to San José or Arenal.

Depart from San José or Arenal (La Fortuna)
We will pick you up from your hotel reception and head to the Pacuare River for a day of rafting. The Pacuare River is the best choice for your adventure treks in Costa Rica. It is world famous for its sheer beauty: A true river gorge flanked by steep, green walls. Here you enjoy the feeling of total isolation from urban life and the realness of being connected with nature. You see waterfalls cascade into the river from both sides as colorful, tropical birds fly right over your head. The white water is equally exciting. It is not an overly challenging river, but it has a lot of rapids, therefore giving you an adventure filled with lots of fun. The 18 mile / 30 kilometer one day run includes a total of 52 rapids, class III IV.
After rafting we will drop you off in the beautiful south Caribbean town of Puerto Viejo.
Puerto Viejo
Today is a free day to relax and enjoy the sand, surf and sun. Clear water, coconut palms, great surf and a laid-back Caribbean atmosphere make Puerto Viejo a favorite among travelers. Located on the Caribbean Coast, about an hour south of Limon, Puerto Viejo is the center of activity between the smaller villages of Cahuita and Manzanillo. The relaxed, seaside town is framed by jungle, turquoise seas, banana plantations and scenic rivers.. Here amidst the exotic flora and fauna, lie vibrant seaside towns with gorgeous beaches and crystal clear waters.

Transfer to Bocas del Toro
Home to a UNESCO World Heritage Site and Panama’s first National Marine Park, Bocas del Toro has also become Panama’s most famous eco-tourism destination. The beauty of the underwater scenery attracts those who like snorkeling and the avid scuba divers. Above the surface it is a paradise for nature and beach lovers.
Day in Bocas del Toro
Today we have included a Tour to Bahia los Delfines, where you will see tons of dolphins, Coral Key for superb Snorkeling and Zapatilla key which is rightfully considered by many to be one of the most beautiful beaches in the world.
Departure
Today we leave for your choice of destination, San Jose or La Fortuna, close to the Arenal Volcano. This is a full day transfer, first part to Puerto Viejo for lunch, then the second part to Arenal or San Jose.
